Involved in year 2020 – now

In 2017, I graduated in Visual Art & Design Management from the University of Arts Utrecht. After working in the design field for a few years, I transitioned into crafts. Since 2020, I have been working for Crafts Council Nederland –  one of the initiators of The Linen Project, where I am responsible for communication and project management.

This is my favorite project because it brings everything together: nature, heritage, gardening, design, textiles and collaborating with others in innovative ways. Experiencing the entire process is truly special, from seed to final product. It takes time, but in that slowness lies a meditative rhythm that makes it all worthwhile.

Currently, I mainly work on the 1m2 vlas project, where participants grow flax in their own gardens. In 2024, I grew flax myself at the Marineterrein in Amsterdam, which was later processed into a jacket for Mayor Halsema (100% amsterdams textiel).
