The Linen Project received an invitation to present at the State of Fashion Biennale. For the Linenstewards, this invitation gave an extra impulse to an ongoing initiative to collaboratively develop a collection of workwear. While weeding in the flax field, the desire arose to transform the harvest into a shared product alongside the fieldwork at the Horsterhof and the processing of the flax. Experiences in the field during sowing, weeding and harvesting guided the development of ideas for the garments.

The winter flax of 2025, together with harvests from previous years, was broken, scutched, hackled, spun, woven, braided and knotted. The short fibers were used to make paper, which was partly spun and woven again. This process resulted in the collection Vlasgoed | Flaxwear.
