In the third edition of 1m2 vlas, participants grow one square meter of flax in their own garden and learn the complete process from seed to linen thread. This year, more than 400 m2 flax is being cultivated collectively across the Netherlands.

Through tutorials, newsletters, webinars and hands-on practice, participants gain insight into every stage of flax cultivation and processing. Flax can be processed at home with simple handmade tools or at the LiBarn of The Linen Project in Duiven, where all necessary equipment is available. An optional spinning course offers participants the opportunity to turn their flax into their own linen thread.
