Date: 22 October 2026
Time: 9.30–11.00
Location: De Fabriek, Baarsstraat 38, Eindhoven
On Thursday, 22 October, we are hosting a morning session about The Linen Project, offering insight into the collective process we have been working on over the past two years. The flax that was sown last year has now been mechanically processed into our first woven textile. Eight different weaves will be available for purchase in 5-metre lots (linnenkavels). Samples of these fabrics will be on display.
Hand weaver and project partner Eva Klee will share her journey with flax and her work combining it with locally sourced wool from Brabant. Farmer Willem Groenenberg will talk about the challenges of growing organic flax in the Netherlands and the insights he has gained along the way.
Partners: Van de Bilt, Sluiskil, Landgoed Kraaiveld, Werkendam, Safilin Szczytno, Enschede Textielstad, Enschede, handweverij Klee, Zaandam, Fashionfarm Joline Jolink, Welsum, The Linen Project, Arnhem, Avans Hogeschool, Centre of Expertise, Breda.
